I wish to apply for this role as I would like to further my career outside of Royal Mail group and feel I meet the required specification. I have gained experience, skills and knowledge through my recent roles within Royal Mail, that will benefit me in this Job role and will make me a great asset to your team. I am a dedicated individual who can adjust in different situations to ensure I meet required business requirements. I have excellent organisational and communication skills meaning I excel in leading teams which in return ensures all targets are met. While I have worked in various management roles for Royal mail, I have gained a vast insight into how we meet our customers needs by streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency and fostering positive team environments. I work well under pressure using data driven tools which also helps me in difficult situations find solutions quickly. For the past 19 months I have been a Parcel Customer operations manager at Royal Mail Group. In this role I am direct line to 27 employees and sees me accountable for up to 4000 parcels per day.

In this role I was direct line manager for 47 employees taking full accountability for the team. I was Required to lead and inspire all colleagues within the delivery office to work efficiently and provide great customer service to the public and customers. I did this by creating a positive work environment and being a role model by applying the values of the business.
This role also seen me accountable for ensuring resource planning and efficiency was met by taking on any projects that the unit may of required, and by linking in and holding weekly meetings with trade union representatives.
While in this role, I lead my team through one of royal mails biggest disputes which included IA being taken by employees.

My job role included running a different section each day of the week ensuring all health and safety procedures were met with staff, leading by example showing professional integrity and having a 'can do' attitude, I encouraged teamwork by inspiring employee's to work harder and enjoy what they do, I always had a positive attitude and optimist outlook, even when times was tough. Other responsibilities in this role seen me accountable for ensuring Quality of service was met on a day to day basis. This role helped me understand different diversity's and peoples individual needs and helped me adapt to or have a different outlook on all types of situations.
