  • Whilst at 3 I have had various responsibilities. These include:


Store Manager Designate – I was responsible for covering as Management in stores across the North of England from anything from one day to, at one point, six weeks. If I was in store more than one week I would complete staff reviews and weekly feedback to Area Managers.


Area Administrator – Duties included monthly payroll and overtime collation and verification for 15 stores. Stock Champion for 30 stores which involved weekly stock orders and inter store transfers. General Collation duties for required company information and audit related tasks, and on occasion performance emails when the Area Manager was unable available.


Store Rollout Team – I would visit new stores prior to opening. It was my responsibility to work with the shop fitters and contractors in the last few days to ensure that all work was completed and any issues reported. I would then spend the last 48 hours preparing the store by ensuring that the shop floor was to company standards, booking on stock and implementing filing systems. The final task was to insure that the store was Audit and Health and Safety compliant.

  • Positions Held: Shift Leader, Sunday Team Manager, Photographic Consultant, Promotion Co-ordinator, Store and Area Staff Councillor.
  • As the Sunday Team Manager I was responsible for managing a team of anything from 15-30 staff, depending on seasonal variations. The store was approximately 8500sq.ft and takings ranged from £6,000 to £20,000 on Sundays, again depending on seasonal variations.
  • To manage staff throughout the day, ensuring that tills were adequately covered and that the shop floor and promotional areas were filled and presentable.
  • Complete a morning and weekly brief with all the staff, making then aware of store performance in all areas and passing on any other information.
  • Opening the store and cashing up from the previous day. Then investigating any discrepancies and resolving them, followed by issuing floats to all the tills.
  • Throughout the days conducting staff searches in accordance with company requirements and procedure.
  • Conducting monthly reviews with staff that reported to me. Issuing constructive feedback and agreeing targets with them to aim to achieve over the following month.
  • At the end of the day giving the staff a final briefing and then shutting the store.
