Activities & Interests

Football & Rugby: I enjoy playing casual football whilst being part of the Bath Football and Futsal Association. Being part of the association constantly improves my teamwork and communication skills as I play weekly games. Aside, I am currently playing with the University of Bath Broncos Team where preparation for our games requires commitment and resilience alongside being a team-player., Graphics Design: Enjoy creating digital art such as posters, graphic t-shirts, wallpapers. I’m always keeping up with the latest tips and tricks with the software such as Adobe Illustrate and Photoshop., Christian Union Member: I am actively involved in a faith-based community. Participate in Bible studies, prayer meetings, and social events. I currently serve at events and organized outreach initiatives.

Engineering Projects & Experience

  • Heat Shield Simulation & Numerical Methods Analysis (Python [VS-Code & Spyder]) (September 2023 – June 2024), Developed and implemented four numerical schemes (Forward, Dufort-Frankel, Backward, and Crank-Nicolson) in Python to simulate heat transfer through a spacecraft thermal protection tile., Processed experimental boundary condition data from a temperature-time graph using image tracing and scaling techniques, converting it into usable input for simulation., Performed stability and accuracy comparisons across methods by automating simulations over varying timestep sizes, producing visual results for analysis., Positioning Control System (MATLAB/Simulink), Built and tuned a digital controller in Simulink to move a cart along a rail, making it respond quickly and accurately to changing targets like step and square wave demands., Discretised a low-pass filter using Zero-Order Hold and used PID control to keep the system stable, tweaking solver settings and filter behaviour to solve simulation crashes and instability., Set up manual switching logic to test how the system would react in real-time, Gear Pump Modelling (Inventor Autodesk), Modelled Gear Pump after taking measurements in teams of four., Was awarded a 1st after submitting CAD and hand drawings, Design and Make – Table Tennis Ball Launcher (Inventor Autodesk), Completed the first phase (conception and design) of a tennis ball launcher with a team of 4 peers and designed the tennis ball launcher., Created detailed drawings of the design., Streamlined team activities by assigning tasks., Scheduled meetings to track project progress., Ultrasonic Sensor Calibration (MATLAB), Successfully filtered and calibrated raw data from an HC-SR504 Ultrasonic Sensor., Performed error analysis under various environmental scenarios, demonstrating attention to detail whilst proposing suitable workarounds, showcasing problem-solving skills., Adapted findings to a large restaurant dine-in scenario where waiters would be notified once a customer sat at table. Project assessed and awarded a 1st through a presentation and written report., Product Design (Inventor Autodesk), Designed a gardening tool for users with joint pain in a team of four. Streamlined workflow by organising meetings and shared workspaces. Co-developed CAD model by splitting design tasks and using shared dimensions.
  • Junior Chassis Engineer, Team Bath Racing Electric (April 2024- Present), I assisted the core team in the design and manufacturing of their 2024 Formula Student electric car. Activities included sanding the chassis mould, designing cardboard templates for the chassis and cutting carbon fibre based on templates. Using CAD to design plus optimise various components. This role has bolstered my attention to detail through component design and CFRP cutting, strengthened my communication by collaborating with senior members of the team and improved my organization skills plus time-management., Team Bath Drones (June 2024 - Present), I aid the team in various roles such as wing manufacture, which includes epoxy application to glass fibre and CFRP surfaces. My engagement requires use of my organizational, communication and teamwork skills as most of the tasks I am assigned require close collaboration with peers.
