I am a recent University of Bristol MSci Geology graduate keen to start my career in geotechnical engineering. My passion for outdoors means I love working outside examining geology, and also inside applying my knowledge to find solutions to problems. I have experience in geotechnics from my summer 2023 placement and my master's research project which focused on application of geophysical sensing.
-I have excellent fieldwork skills For my degree dissertation, I travelled to Isle of Skye in Scotland for a month to make a detailed geological map and report This project taught me how to organise my time and work independently without help from my lecturers I made daily consistent observations and interpretations of geology in the field in all weather conditions
-I have experience using MATLAB and Excel to process field data and removing background noise, and presenting it in such a format which is helpful in drawing conclusions from the data
-I have excellent communication, I have been a scouts leader for 4DH Bristol Polish Boy Scouts for three years till present This role requires good coordination with other scouts leaders and our scouts in order to run activities to a high standard
-I am the current Treasurer for Bristol Swing Dance Society I manage the memberships, trips and spending of the whole society in cooperation with the President and Committee Members
-During COVID lockdown schools closed down, so I challenged myself to learn a foreign language: Japanese This experience taught me discipline to consistently practice a skill in order to improve I'm proudly set to take an exam for N4 Japanese (low intermediate) in December 2023
