Working 8 hour shifts as a hospital porter, I undertook various tasks around the hospital, including supplying numerous equipment to nurses or moving patients. This allowed me to develop my skills in terms of working as a member of a team, taking responsibility for jobs in a workplace, using my initiative to complete tasks efficiently, building communication skills through conversing with patients and workers around the hospital.

I worked as a gardener for two summers whilst at university, maintaining the landscape to the requests of the employer. This included trimming hedges, weeding and designing the layout for plants to produce a great garden.

Working as a Maths and English tutor at one of Kumon's centres I taught these subjects from basic skill levels to further advanced Maths and English to children aged 6-18. This job taught me valuable skills of communication and patience as it can be very hard for children to grasp these subjects at first, but with perseverance and the right teaching methods I could succeed in their understanding of them.
