During my position as Events Supervisor my communication skills greatly improved It is vital when planning and running events communication is clear, you must thoroughly understand the customer's vision and communicate tasks to staff effectively Customer service is something I have always really valued myself on, this can be demonstrated by some of the reviews customers have left One example of this was a review from a customer who attended an event at The Venue that stated ‘Want to also put a special note for Mason who did an amazing job behind the bar He is only young but incredibly talented and has customer service down to a T’ By communicating with customers on a deeper level and showing personalised attention this clearly emphasises good customer service techniques Confidence is also a huge aspect of good communication When travelling countries by myself, I had to gain new confidence in order to communicate with fellow travellers Especially when staying in hostels with new people, confidence is an important skill which over the past 6 months I have rapidly improved
Working in a fast paced environment a team has to ensure they work together to get a great outcome Working as a Team Leader you must understand each member of your team's abilities and hand out tasks accordingly It is vital team members can clearly communicate with one another and are always willing to help the others Years of being in sports teams such as football and rugby both for school and local teams, being a team player has been part of my life forever My time in the sports teams has also taught me good skills such as discipline and punctuality
