1. Seasonal Support - I successfully was able to secure seasonal employment at Tesco's when it was during Christmas time. I made sure that their was product availability on the shelves as well as stocking items that were mostly needed to meet customer demands during the festive period of the year. In order for increased sales at Tesco's I made sure that the aisle I was working on was looking attractive and tidy so customers can focus their attention on the products on this specific aisle so they can buy more products from the shelves.
2. Teamwork - I successfully was able to work as a team with different types of night colleagues such as shift leaders and managers because due to how at Tesco's you have to be very independent every single colleague on the shift gets allocated a specific aisle to work on but due to festive periods like Christmas I remember I was allocated a specific aisle called morning goods and due to how heavy the aisle was itself a manager came in to help and we both worked together to get both the Christmas aisle and the normal aisle done so customers were able to buy products from the shelves and we both did this by checking up on each other on how much is left to be done and we both made sure that the aisles was looking full and tidy.
3. Stock Management and Logistics - Whilst being at Tesco's I successfully was able to gain hands on experience in different types of areas of the store such as managing plastic and cardboard waste and I did this by making sure plastic was on a different cage as well as cardboard being on a different cage as well especially when it came to managing waste because at Tesco's we made sure when it came to recycling it was done properly because it by plastic and cardboard being on different cages it prevents from any type of cross contamination between products and it's easier for materials to be recycled into new products as well such as cardboard can be made into new boxes and plastic can be used to make Tesco bags.
4. Stock Rotation - Whilst working at Tesco's I was teamed up with a work buddy when I first joined were he taught me all about stock rotation which is also known as date checking and due to how I was moving to different aisles within the store, I was mostly on the fresh aisle and the fresh aisles are very important for Tesco's especially when it came to stock rotation because on the fresh aisle the dates are always short and as night colleagues we need to make sure that the short dates of the product is at the front and the longer dates of the product is at the back in order to prevent any products becoming out of date, preventing complaints from customers as well and making sure it is safe for the customers to buy the product as well.

Within my journey at Whalley Range 11-18 High School I completed a full First Aid and Duke of Edinburgh award at a bronze level in the year 2020-2021. However, due to experiencing covid-19 and distance learning at the time I had to complete different tasks and activities at home such as volunteering and physical activities etc. However, this was only completed when I was able to send physical proof of myself completing different tasks and activities so that teachers have the sufficient evidence to tick me off for me to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh award and First Aid.
