I am currently working at HRI as a band 5 registered nurse in MAU part time. I have gained a lot of skills while working in this ward as it is an acute fast pace ward with a lot to learn. I have also worked as an agency nursed alongside for 2 years in different hospitals and different specialities, including respiratory, cardiology, urology, orthopaedics, surgical, elderly, dementia and diabetics wards. Some of the skills l gained over the years include:

  • Monitored patient vitals and necessary signs.
  • Respond to emergency situations quickly within appropriate procedures.
  • Evaluated patient care needs, prioritised treatment and maintained patient flow.
  • Worked closely with fellow nurses, doctors and clinicians for consistent communication and continued best care practices.
