Maths Club volunteer

I previously volunteered to help children in KS3 afterschool in maths club. I would be asked by a child to help them solve a maths problem. to do this I would break it down step-by-step by firstly reading it out then asking them if they understood what the question was asking, if not then I would encourage by asking them questions that would help them gain a sense of understanding and let them independently solve the task and if a child was really stuck I would teach the concept to get them to understand overall. This experience really showed me that I have the skills of patience, problem solving and communication.
