My role was to deliver a National and International specialist engineering on all COLT core and customer networks, pre-staging optical transport equipment & providing a high level of technical support and engineering consultancy service within European Field Operations (EMEA). The primary focus for this post was to provide support and technical expertise on COLT core and customer networks. My role included the ordering, pre-staging and implementing of mostly Nokia PSS equipment with some Ciena, ADVA and Huawei equipment. Testing support for validation of new equipment prior to inclusion within the Network. I provided technical assistance & innovative solutions for European Field Operations plus solutions for core and customer related problems. In times of extremely large faulting this extended to providing temporary relief to the EFO Fault managers.
