Outward Bound — Summer 2024 —  3+ Weeks

• Rafted Class II and III rapids 96 miles down the Deschutes River. By the end of the section, students were able to manage safety, navigation, and captaining the boats independently, and completed the final 2 days of rafting in boats without the instructors.
• Backpacking in the high alpine: Students learned to navigate, set up camp, cook, and clean in a new environment. Students learned how to safely travel in the snow using crampons, and successfully summited 10,046 ft Middle Sister
• Solo Experience: 36 hours, Time completely alone without any interaction with others, entertainment of any kind, without being able to leave a small area. Time to reflect.
