As I am a 16 year old I have not yet involved myself into a professional job, but with the skills I have developed from the voluntary work experience I have completed, I am confident I will meet the expectations of this role.
I am a quick and enthusiastic learner looking forward to learning new skills while I continue my academic studies.
During the week-long work experience I participated in at Goslings Nursery in Godalming, I took on the role of an assistant who ensured each child enjoyed their time at the nursery. I maintained cleanliness and safety within the nursery setting, contributing to a healthy and fun environment for children. During this period, I saw an insight into how real work ran and the different skills you need to collaborate with your co-workers efficiently.
As part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh, I volunteered at Waverley Athletics Club. Through this, I enhanced children's understanding of the techniques used for specific events within athletics. I also encouraged positive attitudes towards physical activity by making sports enjoyable for children. I also developed adaptability skills, which helped make the activities engaging and safe for the children.
