Certifying CAT-A Licensed Aircraft Mechanic

  • Line mechanic working alongside B1/B2 licensed engineers, involved in tasks varying from troubleshooting and inbound defect rectification to scheduled maintenance, A-checks, and service checks.
  • Part-145 approval on Boeing 757 RB211-535C/E, Boeing 767 CF6-80C, and Boeing 777 GE90-115B.
  • Experience on Airbus A300-600, and Airbus A330.
  • The certifying responsibilities within the scope of my approval include tasks such as fluid/gas servicing, replacement of components such as wheels, brakes, lights, equipment/furnishing, carrying out duplicate inspections, defect rectification on areas within my scope and routine checks such as daily inspections.
  • Some experience in DHL's EMA Hangar, carrying out A-checks and AOG support when required.
  • Other responsibilities include keeping up-to-date with documentation revisions, maintaining a high standard of safe working, and maintaining a clean working environment by carrying out daily checks of line vans and the workshop.

  • Finalised my apprenticeship at DHL line station, increasing knowledge of aircraft, improving my hand skills, gaining experience on multiple aircraft types, gathering an in-depth understanding how an airline operates under Part-145 and Part-M approval and working towards my A-license.
