Volunteer gardener for the Boston Way Community garden. Helped in the development of the gardens and last year we came runner up for Community Support Gardens and this year winner in the Blackpool In Bloom 2026 competition. During this period I have extended my knowledge of horticulture, plants and floral displays.

Delivered personalised care for 9 patients, supporting comfort and recovery day-to-day.

Scheduling on IBM and midrange platform tasks while supporting IBM software operations.

During this later period was team leader of a cross European Scheduling and technical support group.

Prelininary Judge in the Lancashire Best Kept Village competition. Very much enjoyed this and helped develop my interest in horticulture and floral displays, plus my knowledge of plants.

Heavily involved in the local village gardening club with the team, and with my help we managed to win the competition three years in a row, During this period, not only as treasurer, but personally i helped develop the beds and floral displays.
