Skills

Flexible worker any time of day acceptable

Excellent time keeper

Used to working with and meeting new people all the time

Client facing used to difficult situations if they are unhappy for any reason

I live across the road from the hospital making me very flexible for short term shift change requirements or if additional hours are needed

I care for my Mum 2 days a week which give me good knowledge of dementia and how to help her in the best way These days can be flexible to accommodate this role

I cared for my father with him living at mine the last few months of his life Understood his medications and taking care of his catheter and washing making meals from scratch etc

I see this position as an exciting opportunity to work close to where I live and meet new people every day To work and feel as part of a family which I've missed somewhat in my extensive IT career

I'm physically active and strong I have my own gym at home and I enjoy activities like skating so my cardio fitness is good

In my last project implementing a network at a Supermarket distribution centre I regularly walked 35-40k steps a day and lifted heavy equipment and racking as necessary

Affiliations

  • Enjoy gym, roller skating, cycling and swimming.
  • Have a camper van which I'm improving
  • Have a classic TVR with a 7 litre engine conversion - a bit of a barn project now though.

Accomplishments

In my last role and while CAE was a smaller company. I won the engineer of the year several times.

I truly don't think this was due to the technical side of things. I think it was more that I ran with things from beginning to end and was willing to work whatever hours were needed to complete projects.

Certification

Cisco CCIE 8712 which I completed back in 2002

Have been studying towards HGV currently completed the theory and hazard with the driver and CPC training to be completed soon.
