  • Running a food and drinks service to first and standard class including the use of an EPOS device.
  • Assisting the guard with arrival and departures from stations.
  • Assisting passengers with embarkation and disembarkation from the train.
  • Making announcements using the PA system.
  • Fulfilling the role of Crew Leader, which involves the coordination and supervision of a team of 5 staff, also ordering fresh supplies as required at appropriate stations.
  • Reporting any safety issues to the guard and assisting in times of disruption using skills learnt from initial conflict training.
