MARK SMITH

Brighton,East Sussex

Summary

In November 2025, I completed a three-year online degree in Architectural Interior Design with the Inchbald School of Design, graduating with a Distinction. I have extensive experience delivering design-led refurbishments across both commercial and residential settings, with a strong track record in managing contractors, budgets, and client relationships.

I began my career as a hairdresser at Charles Worthington in Fitzrovia, working alongside Charles Worthington and Alan Peters. During this time, I gained valuable experience working with celebrity and high-end clients, delivering a highly professional and personalized service. As a member of the Charles Worthington Art Team, I assisted on commercial photographic projects and contributed to the assessment of products for the brand’s retail range.

In 2003, I established my own studio, driven by a clear vision to create a refined and consistent customer journey delivered by a cohesive team. Over this period, I successfully oversaw five salon relocations and refurbishments, developing strong project management and design coordination skills.

Now based in Brighton, I am seeking a Design Assistant role within a high-end studio. I am calm, highly organized, and detail-driven, with a strong design sensibility and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, contributing, and collaborating within a creative team.
