As Market Development Manager for Aerospace, I have worked on systematically approaching and increasing our sales in the aerospace industry. My tasks will include preparing specific campaigns, customer targeting initiatives in collaboration with regional sales, market intelligence incl. customer segmentation and application content creation supporting the EMEA region.
This role involves closely working with all customers in the South East territory of the UK to ensure that they are aware of the current Product range from OLYMPUS and supplying them with the most appropriate piece of equipment for their industrial applications. I have a clear understanding of the four technology platforms and their applications and use this to support the ever growing customer base for these technologies in the South East. I am also responsible for training new members of the UK team and supporting vacant territories around the UK where required.
My key responsibility is to provide Technical and Application training and information to the EMEA Olympus sales force including distributors for Olympus Remote Video Inspection equipment - this includes studying, identifying and understanding new industrial applications to develop my knowledge in a large variety of industrial engineering environments to best provide inspection solutions for all customers. Training is one of my many responsibilities to ensure that all members of the Industrial RVI sales force are up to date and well informed of the RVI product range and applications in order to maximise their effectiveness throughout the EMEA region.
The responsibility of this role was to communicate between customers and the service repair workshop to identify any issues and create technical reports that were sent to the customers explaining the context of the repairs and the justification of the costs involved. The role also included training of new technicians and candidates form overseas and to resolve technical issues that arose for the equipment that could not be resolved by the technicians. It was also my duty to relay information form the factory in Tokyo and update part and repair manuals for the equipment and also share technical bulletins with other regional repair facilities around Europe.
My duty in this role was to perform all types of calibrations, repairs and overhauls on the full range of RVI Equipment from Olympus, This included our IPLEX IV6/SA/SX/MX/FX/TX/UL/LX/LT systems. I was also responsible for the training of new starters and ensuring the highest standards of quality for the repairs in line with the company core values.
This role was to accept, strip and clean various components of the 240 / 260 range of Evis Medical scopes and rebuild them to a high standard and test them as subassemblies within a tight turnaround window whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality required for the medical industry.
My role was to follow technical drawings and perform complete assembly of the Series 5 Borescopes, X series and K series mini borescopes within a clean room environment at the Olympus Manufacturing facility in Essex
