Summary

Starting my career as an HGV Trailer Technician, I spent the first 15 years learning skills on mechanical, electronic & pneumatic systems in an engineering workshop. I attended Grimsby college on a welding & fabrication course for approximately 2 years taking these qualifications into my working life. I then entered the power industry at Melton EPR Glanford Power Station, where I've dedicated myself to rise through the ranks, my journey has seen me advance from Plant Operator to days maintenance & shutdown planner, and then achieve the position of Shift Charge Engineer, the position I currently hold. I have consistently tackled complex challenges and developed a deep appreciation for problem-solving and leadership. My diverse background combines hands-on experience with specialised technical knowledge, fostering a work environment characterised by high productivity, safety, and a family-like culture. My positive ‘can-do' attitude and self-motivation have been pivotal in promoting a ‘brother's keeper' safety style and building a cohesive, high-performing team.
