As Commercial Manager supporting Network Rail, I am responsible for commercial management of some building, building services, and infrastructure enhancement projects at stations or depots; including Eastleigh Dust Suppression, Westbury Dust Suppression, and National Water Curtain programme, ensuring effective cost control, contractual compliance, and financial governance.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Ensure that all consultants and suppliers understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
• Good knowledge of NEC 3 and 4 contract administration, including managing EWN’s and CEs
• Implementing monthly project cost forecast reporting processes
• Reviewing compensation events inline with NEC timescales
• Ensuring that all records have correct authorisations and relevant coding specifications
• Assist with commercial elements for Gateway Reviews and business case production.
• Assist in production of financial reports, monitoring expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the project progresses; ensure that the House of Commons Project Delivery team meets The House of Commons' accounting standards. Such reporting will analyse spend and outputs against agreed budgets, deliverables, and forecast commercial outcomes.

• Facilitated tracking of budgeted targets, providing accurate and consistent cost reports in CEMAR.

• Supported Project Managers with commercial and contract management of consultants and contractors to maintain cost-effectiveness.
• Ensured cost management against project budget, highlighting commercial issues and reporting on risks to mitigate overspend.
• Enabled the smooth completion of a number of construction projects of up to £50million in value.
Project Support Manager
• Coordinate with the CRS Regional Office on project support, portfolio development and management, setting priorities, and issue resolution, including negotiating agreements and modifications with institutional donors.
• Serve as a leader in project management, exercising sound judgement and innovative solutions to challenges in implementation.
• Provide comprehensive and seamless project management support to The Parliamentary Estate, including the management of a team of PSOs, as appropriate.
