
Within this role I am responsible for the security, maintenance and operational readiness of a large academy site. Duties include acting as a primary key holder, opening and securing buildings, monitoring alarms, CCTV and site safety, and liaising with emergency services when required. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to building fabric, fixtures, fittings and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry and electrics where required, while supervising external contractors and ensuring works are completed to a good standard. Oversee site cleanliness and grounds upkeep, including waste management, graffiti removal, floor care and ensuring safe access during adverse weather. Support health and safety compliance through risk management, COSHH procedures and safe use of equipment, alongside routine checks of fire safety systems, utilities and vehicles. Additional responsibilities include event setup, maintaining site systems, coordinating deliveries, supporting colleagues and maintaining a safe, secure environment for staff, students and visitors.
Worked as a post man and driver responsible for the accurate sorting and timely delivery of mail and parcels across designated routes. Managed daily workload independently, planning routes efficiently to meet delivery targets and maintain high service standards. Carried out routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance, ensuring vehicles remained safe, roadworthy and compliant with company procedures. Maintained clear communication with colleagues and supervisors, handled customer enquiries professionally, and demonstrated reliability, organisation and strong time-management skills while working in a fast-paced environment.
I bring strong practical and organisational skills which I have developed through experience in both my current and previous job roles I have a solid understanding of building maintenance, health and safety compliance, contractor supervision and site security, of which I am also first aid trained I have experience carrying out minor repairs, including current certificate training in IPAF type 3a, monitoring building systems and ensuring facilities remain safe, clean and operational I am confident managing workloads, prioritising maintenance tasks and coordinating with colleagues and contractors to complete work efficiently I also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling me to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and site users while responding professionally to enquiries and resolving issues I am reliable, proactive, with excellent time-management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
