Mark Gatdula

I am a civil engineering student currently on an industry placement as an Assistant Bridge Engineer at Rochester Bridge Trust. Through my studies at Nottingham Trent University and my experience at RBT, I have developed an interest and understanding in project management, infrastructure maintenance, and sustainability.

In my role, I monitor and report on the structural condition of Rochester Bridge's key components, including measuring gaps and cracks in the balustrades, Island Pier, and Rochester Plates. I also calculate CO2 emissions of new equipment to support sustainability efforts, manage Works Queries (WQs), and organize TMC surveillance records.

Passionate about inspiring future engineers, I actively participate in STEM outreach programs. I am committed to continuous learning and problem-solving, always refining my skills in civil engineering..
