worked as engineer and AB on small bunker barge in the confines of Portland harbour refuelling mainly small ships with heavy fuel and diesel fuel .My job was to maintain main engines /generators and pump engines and machinery also tying the ship up and connecting hoses up for bunkering and keeping watch on tanks
