Transformation Lead (Senior Programme Manager)

  • Company Objective: $300m investment to drastically transform the business from a consumer data org into a high performing FinTech
  • My goal was to implement a $50m SAFe programme across the UKI business to enable the technology transformation
  • Coached and developed 8 Agile Delivery Leads
  • Built a Programme of work to deliver a UKI Operating Model to seven separate business areas to merge into a single way of working, aligning their agile practises, portfolio management, governance, and PLM
  • Introduced a process management framework that improved technical and IT processes by reducing waste and optimising flow
  • Created a culture of fast paced, decision-based meetings to enable Senior Leadership to make informed quick decisions that do not impede delivery momentum

  • My responsibility was for the performance of projects (time, quality, and budget) and reporting portfolio status to senior management
  • Coached and developed 10 Project Managers/Product Owners
  • Transformed Product, DevOps and SRE teams from Waterfall methodologies to Agile (Scrum) where possible
  • Enhanced organisation’s strategic value by validating and prioritising project intake as well as governing all business products within the fraud and compliance vertical using Lean Portfolio management
  • Drove steering groups at a global level to identify dependencies/risks that may disrupt the tactical and strategic objectives of the programme roadmap

  • Engaged stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure a constant feedback loop was in place and both cost and time overruns were minimal
  • Ensured on-time availability of required resources at all stages using demand management
  • Managed relationship between account directors and customer Stakeholders to continuously maintain a trustworthy and long-lasting business relationship
  • Worked closely with change management as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line engineering teams to provide a client-driven handover onto operational support.

Accomplishments

  • Delivered value against OPEX cost reduction benefits (25% > 19%, £1.5m) in line with both long-term strategic objectives and short-term tactical objectives.
  • Reduced average Product team cost by 40% (£1.2m > £720k) by overlaying the people strategy into the UKI Target Operating Model.
  • Onboarded and integrated a new portfolio management tool that integrated with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, OracleHR and three finance systems, with the aim to have more reliable and transparent real time data to boost reporting and predictability.
