What I was seeking was more exciting roles that offer ongoing development because staying in the same position had begun to feel stagnant.
  • In this work, I acquired a variety of skills. I gained greater public speaking confidence from the job, which was really beneficial for my nursing education. Working autonomously, setting deadlines, scheduling consultations and appointments, setting up and attending staff meetings, and interacting with clients via phone and email were all made possible by the position.

I worked with children from age 16+. This job role taught me how to be patient and work around difficult situations. Shop floor assistant

Clark's
Bradford, BD1 1AH
06.2012 - 07.2012
  • Shop floor assistant while studying at school.
  • For my work experience I worked in Clark's, the shoe shop. I was given tasks like sorting out shoes and putting them on the correct selves. I was always on the shop floor making customers happy and making sure they were happy with the service given and that they were satisfied before they left the store. Always helped my colleagues achieve the goals and aims given to them. When I was working in Clark's I was working with 2 other girls that were on work experience like me, I planned on who was doing what all to make sure the store runs smoothly. I solved problems that were given to me. As I was working at a place where you get a lot of elder people I adapted myself and made sure the customers were satisfied. The store was handled very well. I have done business for my GCSE's I had the knowledge and understanding of what happens in a retail shop. I did some research to make sure I knew everything I need to know. I participated in all the tasks to make sure no problems occur. We all worked really well in a team to make sure the tasks were finished to a high standard. When I was working at Clark's, a woman came in and she couldn't understand or speak English. I approached her in a friendly manner and spoke in Urdu as that was the language she understood. I was able to solve all her problems and I made sure she left as a happy customer.
