Summary

A seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, I excel in advanced clinical assessment and psychological evaluation. Demonstrating leadership through mentorship and continuous education, I've significantly enhanced patient care standards and team performance. My adeptness in both hard and soft skills ensures exceptional service delivery and team development.

I am a responsible and enthusiastic nurse that can stay positive and encourage others to stay positive during our shift even if the workload can be above our capacity. Working the extra mile has been the one thing that has defined me in my nursing career, because I quickly learnt that the role needs more than clinical knowledge and involves mentoring, leadership and collaborative skills. Part of my activity has also been dealing with student nurses, coaching, and mentoring them during their time with us.

With the experience developed within acute surgical wards, community services and digital care Hub has been so valuable to my development.

If during my job on the acute setting I could cultivate my resilience that helped me to stand up to the most pressuring difficulties and still be able to deliver the best care and keep my mind clear into taking the best decision that my patients and my team can benefit of, here I have learned how much my emotional intelligence and leadership skills can support the team.

With the continuous support of our Nursing Management Team, I was able to get involved in the coordination work that happens at the back office, to support the on-the-field team.

Among many day to day operations, I have to ensure the equipment that we use is up to standards, any faults are reported and followed through to be resolved, KPI monitoring and reporting, keeping up to date with changes in our Procedural Documents.

Collaborating within the Trust and outside with GP’s, SS, Mental Health and CNS’s has brough all these people together from different backgrounds and locations to help deliver safe, effective and quality care to our patients and support for their families, and I have been one of these persons that have cultivated amazing skills within our Team and I am able to show that I am continuously competent to add new value into our duties and essentially contributing at building something new and unique that our patients can benefit from. During my activity at the Trust, I used all opportunities to undertake courses, learn new skills and certifications, which proved very useful in our diverse and often unpredictable field of work.

I am someone that is loyal to my job. Even before becoming a nurse, I had the opportunity to work in a company that had separated to its business an Afterschool that involved children from poor/problematic background. During my 8 hours shift I was the secretary for the General Director of the business having marketing responsibilities that included online sales as well as preparation of the orders that were being delivered next day.

The job that I had after my work hours, was as a volunteer teacher and social worker and I have had up to 20 children aged between 6- and 14-year-old to support with their homework’s and social needs. I loved working within the company because I could see the advantages that it has brought to our community from town.

I am someone who very much enjoys their job and having the ability to make a positive impact to people’s lives is something that gives me much satisfaction.

I’ve been told I am a competent nurse because I understand the values of this NHS Trust and work extremely hard to embed them in everything I do. Finally, apart from being confident in my own abilities, and also being resilient in difficult and challenging situations, I am an excellent team worker, have outstanding communication skills and will always act with honesty, integrity and loyalty whilst performing my duties as a nurse
