Supporting Statement for Clinical Governance Lead post
I am interested to apply as a Clinical Governance Lead as I am confident that I can deliver the services that the job entails.
My current role as a theatre nurse, I am responsible for the perioperative care of the patients coming in for their surgeries. Risk assessment and the importance of patient safety are paramount to ensuring that effective patient care is being delivered and that a holistic response are based on individual patient needs.
In order to achieve an excellent patient outcome, multi-professional and collaborative working is essential in which I have experienced working as a Theatre Practitioner, I collaborate with patients, relatives, students, staff members, and the clinicians involved in the care of the patients.
I always aim for quality improvement and have participated in clinical audits and research to improve practices and efficiency thus, improving the department’s productivity.
Furthermore, my IT skills are up to date and I can produced a detailed reports needed for the role.
In relation to these wide responsibilities, this had helped me developed my skills with leadership and communication to which I believe are the skills that I can carry to my next job role.
Moreover, because I am passionate on what I do as a Theatre Practitioner, I have made sure that I am regularly updated with my trainings and also, I was able to pass my Theatre Practice Course which had enabled me to developed my confidence even more that I can deliver care safely and effectively and most importantly be a strong patient advocate.
I dedicate my time to any responsibility given to me and I ensure that I learn from any experience and reflect on challenges and improve my practice. I am resilient and proactive, being a hard working professional has enabled me to be confident that I can respond to the changing needs of the patients.
Also, my strong interest in developing my clinical skills will hopefully be more wider as I plan to undertake more relevant courses and do my Master's Degree in the future.
I am enthusiastic with the future development and improvement of Clinical Practices based on the policies, frameworks and national standards.
