Criminal mock trial, February 2025 (University of Leicester): I served as a witness in a criminal mock trial. This experience strengthened my confidence and public speaking skills, and exposed me to the importance of witness examination and coherent legal reasoning.
Moot court, October 2025 (University of Leicester): I participated in a mooting competition, which developed my ability to complete legal drafting of a skeleton argument, as well as case preparation through the creation of a bundle of authorities for my present case. Furthermore, by presenting my case as a lead counsel alongside the Junior counsel, I was able to improve my public speaking and teamwork skills.
Negotiations, October 2025 (University of Leicester): Participated in a negotiation competition, involving a simulated scenario that sought to advance my ability to utilise alternative dispute resolution, teaching me persuasive communication and professional negotiation skills.
Gazette, University Law Society (Editor), Year 2025-2026: As an editor of the Law Gazette, I reviewed and edited articles on a variety of different legal topics each month. This opportunity allowed me to enhance my attention to detail and learn the importance of analytical precision so that the information is coherent and consistent, while also enhancing my legal writing.
