Summary

I am currently an enthusiastic Class Teacher with an ability for making learning exciting and enjoyable. I am always motivated by the belief that all children can be successful learners. Throughout the years I have been a class teacher, I have been able to create and adapt lesson planning and present lessons catering to varying needs and abilities of all children within my class. I have been able to show that I am an organised, confident and friendly individual who uses creative learning strategies to increase classroom engagement and enhance student understanding.

I am a dedicated and hardworking Primary School Teacher bringing over 18 years' experience in education. Throughout this time my passion and dedication to the profession has always had the pupils' successes at heart. I am an aging yet still energetic and empathetic individual with a desire to always further myself in my own knowledge and understanding and I know this can be by learning from others around me. I am eager to help children understand and engage them with their learning.

The past 18 years have allowed me to develop my excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with both students and parents. Despite my continuous professional development and dedication to the profession of teaching I am always driven to learn and grow more professionally. I have been an accomplished teaching professional with extensive experience developing predominantly Key Stage 2 pupils, however I have also had teaching experience and leadership experience in KS1.

During my time as a teacher I have enhanced educational, social and emotional growth of my pupils through strategic lesson planning and delivery. I have been able to guide students with compassion and care for positive learning experiences. In more recent years, I have further developed from Classroom Practitioner to a Phase Leader, Middle Leader and also part of the school's Senior Leadership Team.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, I have shown that I am a motivated academic professional committed to driving academic progress across the whole school. I have worked collaboratively with other members of staff and am a confident communicative individual with a previous history of sound decision-making. I am dedicated to supporting inclusive and engaging learning programmes and have coached, modelled and mentored other members of staff in their professional development; more recently being solely responsible for the coaching of three Early Career Teachers. I enjoy monitoring and evaluating and then using the findings as a tool to have an impact on the teaching and learning of all children.

As a Governor for a Special Needs School, I also have a solid understanding of the diverse needs that children may face and significant barriers to learning. I have a disabled daughter myself and she is always helping me to develop my understanding of special needs further.
