- Company Overview: an SEMH secondary school
- I started working at Hailey Hall School, an SEMH secondary school as a DT/Maths teacher
- After 1 ½ terms, I became a full-time maths teacher, taking on the role of head of maths
- As head of maths, I rewrote the curriculum in order to improve the outcomes for student levels
- I also implemented a two-tier system of exams: Functional Skills alongside the GCSE exam criteria
- After only one year, the student’s achievements had risen across the board, every student in year 11, achieving some kind of qualification
- After realizing my passion was in maths as well as extracurricular events for the students, I stepped down as head of maths to become just a KS3 & KS4 maths teacher
- I also organized camp outs, trips to London and other sight-seeing rewards trips for the students
- I also helped organize and fundraise for a school trip to France to visit the WW1 battlefields
