Awarded employee of the year for 2025, and promoted to the role of buddy which has the added responsibility of training new members of staff. Continued improvement of my customer service and team work skills.
Worked for my fathers business from a young age, initially as a summer job but currently when I have some free time and can help out. This job taught me the value of money, discipline in my teenage years, hard work, and how to assist the tradesmen to achieve better and more efficient work.
Although never obtaining any qualification, this job has taught me some valuable trade skills over time. I also have been on countless different sites, and this was very helpful during my engineering studies as I could contextualize my work.
First role was a kitchen porter in which I impressed and was asked to work as a glass runner at wedding events. In 2021 I was then promoted to Bar Manager and my responsibilities included; providing excellent and fast service to wedding guests, managing stock counts and equipment, and training new staff members.
In this role I thoroughly developed my customer service skills as it was of the utmost importance that guests had the best day possible.
I also learned the importance of co-ordination and communication between co-workers, especially with kitchen staff when serving food to guests.
