Senior Technical Specialist (Change Management)

Diebold Nixdorf
01.2019 - 06.2025
  • I was brought into Diebold Nixdorf as a Senior Technical Specialist within the Change Management arena to help them build and transform their Change Management processes/procedures and source/implement a new efficient, cost effective solution.
  • Using my wealth of Service Process experience gained in previous positions in my career I was able to totally transform Diebold Nixdorf’s ability to manage changes and incidents within their organization and got appraised from the ISO Auditors.
  • I implemented a Freshworks Service Management product (FreshService), which I was solely responsible for sourcing and configuring to DNs needs.
  • I also have experience in DNs tool (SMAX) this is a Microfocus Service Management tool.
  • The last couple of years I has delivered a Change Management and Incident Management services for the ATM arm of Diebold, coaching and training teams in best practices, but now and looking for a more exciting, challenging role.
  • Update 20/5/25 – Was advised I would be made redundant as major contracts lost and DN was withdrawing/ decommissioning the services I was responsible for.

Change Manager Lead (UK and Europe)

  • Alignment and standardisation of process, procedures, working practices and tool sets.
  • Bring the IBM ‘managed service’ part of Change back in-house and align them as a supplier under my management.
  • I was responsible for the end to end management of changes and releases across all environments with the organisation.
  • (made redundant)

Global Transition and Change Manager

CEVA Logistics
01.2016 - 01.2017
  • Part of the Senior Management team on the 'Smart Sourcing' 6 million+ pound project I was responsible for managing the transition from using a Third party outsourcing company (HCL – ironically which I also helped setup/transition to 6 years ago) to an in-house locally sourced team for several services including Change Management, Program, Project and Procurement Office support function, Internal Audit office and a Global centralised reporting and monitoring office.
  • I have been involved from the start of this project from sourcing new offices in Manila (Philippines), recruitment, training and transition of the new teams to the new target operating model, I was also responsible for the service negotiations and termination of the HCL contract.
  • Building new teams from scratch in Manila has really tested my communication and influencing skills and allowed me to be creative in my approach to achieve this challenging and pioneering move for CEVA.
  • My ability to negotiate at all levels to ensure a successful transition with minimal impact to the end user has been key to its success, delivering to time, cost and quality.
  • This is the most challenging role to date which successfully went live in October 2016 and has set the way for CEVA to move other Third party supported services in-house with major cost savings.
  • Due to this success and a major part of my 'normal' role been now done in Manila, I was made redundant in January.

IS&S Change and Configuration Manager

CEVA Logistics
09.2012 - 01.2016
  • Based on the principles of ITIL: I defined, agreed, published and maintained a Global Change Management process and Configuration Management process for IS&S.
  • Designed and responsible for the maintenance of Application Database with its configuration data to support the Change process and other processes that rely on this data.
  • Responsible for managing a small team of change analysists I was accountable for the global adoption and delivery of Change Management across CEVA.
  • I completely re-engineered the way they reviewed changes introducing new CAB and ECAB process and procedures, aligning them to ITIL, streamlining the current way of working and gaining audit 'best practice' recognition.
  • I also implemented a Global toolset (BMC Remedy), designed working procedures to ensure CEVA managed its IT changes (Infrastructure and Applications) End to End, ITIL aligned and supporting ISO audit requirements ect..
  • Fully understanding the complex development lifecycle and application development/testing and release process I skilfully engineered the Global processes and procedures to cater for all change types and releases, ensuring a system availably of over 99%, a 20% increase, prior to me starting.
  • This design and development of Change Management within CEVA drew on all my communication and influencing skills with stakeholders, all levels / 3rd Party suppliers and vendors.
  • Although using technology to facilitate, Skype, video conferencing, this still needed my personal touch and resulted in me traveling extensively throughout Brazil, USA, Europe, Asia and India consolidating, streamlining process and procedure to protect CEVA's investments.
  • This has given me an excellent understanding of working differences and culture enabling me to understand and tackle even the most difficult stakeholders.

Consultant/Contractor (Change and Service Management)

CEVA Logistics
09.2010 - 10.2012
  • I was brought into CEVA as a contractor, because of my extensive change Management experience to improve their Service Delivery functions (Major Incident, Problem and Change Management).
  • I set out and delivered a full End to End Change Management roadmap, ITIL aligned, streamlined, OIS Audit compliant, stabilising and putting in controls into CEVAs IT environment which drastically reduced the disruption and downtime caused by poor change planning.
  • Alongside this I also advised and managed similar programs for Incident and Problem management.
  • CEVA was in the middle of 'outsourcing' parts of the IT Service Management work, but lacked direction and understanding with no clear roadmap.
  • I was one of the key stakeholders who designed and negotiated outsourcing services, ensuring KPIs where reverent and ensures value for money and service stability.
  • I initially came on a 3 month contract, this was extended several times, then I was offered a permanent role to continue to evolve Change Management at CEVA , which I accepted (see above).
