I worked as a team leader who was in charge of works being carried out. I made sure method statements were signed and understood. I did daily briefings to the workforce and made sure briefing paperwork was signed signed and understood by the team. I would work alongside workforce and prepare formwork for structures to be built. I used a telescopic handler to move shutters and other materials around site where needed. I was a Banksman Slinger when the company required me to be so. I slung loads weighing up to 45 tonnes each on the M20 j10 job, these loads were pre cast beams for the M20 Bridges on Junction 10a.
I have been working as a shuttering carpenter making and fixing formwork for walls and bases and decking. I was working in confined spaces in jobs in Portsmouth building concrete dams in the army bases. I was doing the shuttering for ground basement walls and bases for homes.
I was working on the London underground Whitechapel Station as a formwork Carpenter Supervisor. I briefed the team on the tasks they were to perform during the shift, made sure they all understood the method statement and risk and signed the briefing. I made sure all the team was aware of the call back time for finishing the works, this was to ensure the track for the railway were clear and ready for checks.
