Key Achievements & Projects:

• Platform & Market Expansion: Spearheaded the end-to-end product delivery for our expansion into the European and US markets. This included integrating with three of France's largest banks via our proprietary REST API and launching new asset classes such as Fixed Income. Additionally, I established our first enterprise partnership with a leading US broker, advising on operational tooling and product requirements for a successful launch.
• Centralised Order Book: Led the delivery of the flagship Centralised Order Book and unified UI. This critical product digitised the capital raises process, enabling a single interface to monitor demand across mobile, web, API, and B2B channels, and provided a strong foundation for future growth.
• Real-Time Deal Analytics: Developed and delivered a real-time analytics dashboard, empowering Issuers and banks to make data-driven decisions during Accelerated Bookbuilds (ABB) and IPOs.
• Process Automation & Risk Reduction: Defined and implemented a new allocation engine (working with Data Engineers and Scientists) that replaced error-prone legacy systems. This initiative automated manual processes by up to 95% and significantly mitigated financial risk exposure by moving away from manual, spreadsheet-based models with over 40,000 formulas.
• Release Management: Collaborated with engineering leads, QA, and SRE teams to manage and communicate product releases to both internal stakeholders and a user base that grew 10x during my tenure.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Technical Backlog Management: Collaborate with engineering and architecture to manage the technical product backlog in JIRA, defining epics and writing detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Data-Driven Product Strategy: Conduct both qualitative and quantitative user research to generate actionable insights and validate the product roadmap through controlled experiments.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for development squads and built stakeholder confidence through impactful presentations on product roadmaps and technical concepts to Directors and VPs across the business.
• Technical & Product Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including technical specifications, to ensure alignment across multiple development squads and the wider business.

Brought in on a short-term contract, I led the end-to-end delivery of a critical operational solution for a major client migration. This involved organising the seamless transfer of over 5,000 clients from SVS Capital and managing more than 2,200 equity transfer requests. I designed and delivered a temporary internal dashboard to digitalise the process, which enabled real-time position management and improved coordination with brokers and clients. This project directly showcases my ability to quickly solve complex operational challenges and deliver a tangible product solution under pressure.

As a key member of a PropTech startup, I was responsible for the end-to-end product delivery of new mobile and web applications.

• Translated business requirements into workable solutions and user stories.
• Designed the user interface and journeys for both mobile and web applications.

• Led all first-stage testing and wrote comprehensive test scripts to ensure a high-quality product release.

FCA-Regulated Stockbroking Investment App

For three years, I was responsible for building the operational and product foundations of a retail investment app, helping it achieve 30,000 users and a £10m pre-money valuation in its first year of trading. In this hands-on role, I was central to a variety of technical and operational projects aimed at scaling the business while maintaining a strong customer experience.

• Trade Execution & APIs: Took full ownership of the end-to-end product delivery for trade execution across global equities. This involved managing the relationship with our third-party execution broker and custodian and leading the technical integration via FIX API to facilitate both trade execution and settlement.
• Product Delivery & QA: Collaborated directly with engineers on a variety of technical products, focusing on identifying and diagnosing bugs, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), and executing iteration testing to ensure high-quality product releases.
• Stakeholder & Operational Management: Worked closely with both internal teams and key third-party providers to identify operational impacts and deliver scalable solutions that supported significant user growth.

Equity and Derivatives Broker

In this long-term front-office role, I gained hands-on experience in the FX and derivatives space. I was brought in as a key subject matter expert on two major projects, where I discovered my passion for product development by translating my deep market knowledge into tangible product solutions. This experience laid the foundation for my career move into product management.

• CFD and Spread Bet Platform Launch (Formally IFX Markets): I served as the primary front-office point of contact for the team building a new Spread Bet and Retail CFDs online trading platform. My market knowledge was instrumental in guiding the product's development and ensuring a successful launch.
• Multi-Asset Trading Platform: As a key figure in a multi-year IT change project, I was responsible for translating complex business and functional requirements into test scenarios for the UAT environment, working directly with the development team to implement system enhancements and bug fixes.

Senior Financial Derivatives Trader & Equity and Derivative Sales Trader

These roles provided me with an invaluable, hands-on understanding of the derivatives, CFD, and spread betting industry from a trader's perspective. My direct experience of executing and managing financial portfolios gives me a unique insight into the customer journey, operational workflows, and risk management that is essential for building market-leading trading products.

• Financial Derivatives Trader (Spreadex): Managed and hedged a complex indices portfolio, gaining an in-depth understanding of the trading environment and key user personas that I now apply to building user-centric product solutions.
• Equity and Derivative Sales Trader (Finspreads): As a key figure in a developing sales trading department, I helped build the foundational processes and tools, gaining early experience in strategic development and market-facing stakeholder management.
