• Bookkeeping - organising and filing the manager’s finances and taxes.

I worked in this independent pub, which I thoroughly enjoyed, helping my manager by dividing their tasks and responsibilities.

• Bring their upstairs space, dormant for years, by curating a deep clean rota and re-organising the space.
• Providing excellent service, personalised to the pub and regulars, as well as new customers who provided 5/5 reviews with personal mentions for hospitality, friendliness, and service.
• Creating cleaning rotas and refining day-to-day operations.

I joined the Blind Beggar Pub and advanced to a managerial role within six months.

Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Managing finances and daily operations; delegating tasks and supervising day-to-day staff performance.
• Implementing updated and modern tools to streamline tasks; staff work rotas, orders, cleaning rotas, and financial management.
• Designing a cocktail menu and helping refurbish the outdoor bar that has been dormant for years, increasing footfall in summer.
• Hiring and training staff members, improving team building and reducing staff turnover.
• Ensuring effective customer service and hospitality.
