Maisie Savage

In addition to being a full-time student, and as well as working in my family business, I have also completed several work experience placements which have been provided through the college.

In one project we worked with Crewe and Chester Market Halls. We provided paintings for display in the new market hall. We worked hard with our tutors and the client to make sure the work we created fitted the designated brief. During this work experience I used teamwork and perseverance to achieve the work.

In another project, I worked with Cheshire Police to help with an anti-knife campaign. This involved me doing window paintings in the Crewe Lifestyle centre and the police station. During this project, I had to use problem-solving to overcome challenges and hurdles which presented themselves during work experience.

In summary, both in my current job at my family business and in the work experience opportunities that I have completed during my college studies, I feel that I have demonstrated good problem-solving skills when challenges have been faced, good social skills and a good ability to interact with the public, good teamwork skills when they were needed and the ability to remain level-headed when situations get difficult or stressful.
