Magnavale is a cold store unit. I worked here along side engineers doing general maintenance and installations which included automated racking systems, laser safety systems and motors.

I covered Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing.

There were high speed doors with traffic entry sensors which we maintained and programmed to repair.

I was based at Chesterfield but they had multiple sites which

I worked at periodically.

I got involved with the installation of a full EV charging system at all the sites from distribution to end user.

I look after our condenser towers with weekly checks of legionella which includes chemical testing and bacteria growth plates in an incubator all fully documented to comply with current regulations.

I also did in-house plumbing, fitting electric boilers with PRV & TMV to prevent bacteria.

I got involved with all project work the latest one being an industrial microwave which needed a new water chiller.

This involved the wiring up and the relevant pipe work.

This was all included in the first year of my apprenticeship.
