Mahbub Rahman

I am a passionate and dedicated Physics teacher with a strong academic background in Mechanical Engineering and over three years of teaching experience. Currently working at an outstanding secondary school and sixth form in Enfield, I deliver high-quality education to students across KS3, KS4, and A-level. My teaching philosophy focuses on fostering curiosity, building confidence, and making physics relatable through real-world applications. I employ a dynamic, student-centred approach that includes interactive experiments, visual aids, and critical thinking exercises, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into manageable steps. I emphasise exam techniques to help students perform confidently under pressure and strive to create a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and independent problem-solving. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for physics by helping students think analytically and connect theoretical concepts to practical applications.

• Train at a boxing and kickboxing gym and play competitive sports to improve mental and physical well-being.
• Run STEM workshops for kids aged 11-16, which involve going over career choices involving STEM subjects, covering important topics such as climate change and reducing a person's carbon footprint, and building vehicles powered by renewable energy.
• Built a Tinkercad course for kids- it involves showing the basics of CAD, designing complex structures, and 3D printing the structures to make them real.
• Volunteer at a local community centre and carry out activities such as painting, gardening, and maintenance of the area.
