I have been living overseas since the end of 2021. I have worked mainly in Education and Health & Social Care, some of my posts overlapped as I worked two posts at the same time.
I enjoy working particularly with marginalised groups of any age, by assisting individuals to be the best that they can be. My passion is to continue doing so and too continue my developmental skills by furthering my own personal growth.
* Identified appropriate Health & Social Care work placements for students.
* Facilitated the completion of relevant paperwork, such as DBS applications.
* Sort suitable placements and carried out health and safety checks.
*Excellent communication with parents/guardians, work colleagues, provider services, students and other professional services.
*Conducting student observations and report writing.
* Handling complaints & attending meetings.
* Working to deadlines, ensuring reports were uploaded in a timely manner for Ucas.
* Travelling to placements in different locations.
I have travelled quite extensively over the years - my most recent being for 3 years in the Caribbean and the South Western parts of Africa.
In doing so, I have learned and continue to do so about the customs, traditions, beliefs, values etc of other people. Travel has also given me a first hand experience of how people live in terns of levels of poverty and survival. This has given me a greater appreciation/understanding of other people and of myself, as I continue to learn.
