I currently work for a company which specialises in making stair cases.

my key role is operating the CNC machine I by start programming the machine and select the design I accurately layout any pods required for the cutting and oversee the work i have to do this accurately to cut out the wood accurately avoiding mistakes as these can be costly when hitting things such as pods. Although my main role is running the machine i partake in all other aspects of building the stair cases. this includes thing such as routering filling and sanding steps and strings and posts. I can fully construct a full staircase and have assisted on many fittings. i can also do basic laminating and cutting materials.

i was given an opportunity to work self employed doing loft conversions which i decided to take. with this i done a lot of similar roles as i did with my first company such as:

• Prepped work sites thoroughly to speed up installations.
• Erected scaffolding and ladders.
• Cut insulation material to size and shape specifications.
• Examined construction plans to determine exact installation requirements.
• Maintained fitness levels to achieve physical demands of installing insulation.
• Operated hand and power tools safely.

with this job role there many different thing i would do on a day to day basis these included some of the following. I would off load delivery's liase with the clients and recommended best range of roofing solutions, including sustainable and eco-friendly options. I helped complete tiling work to high standard, delivering excellent finish to maintain customer satisfaction. i can do felted roofing and assisted the main roofer by planning jobs and distributing materials. I also installed soffits and fascias with precise measurements to ensure safety and minimise wastage. i would also help by utilising scaffolding, ladders and hoist to assist with roofing tasks.

I decided barbering just wasn't for me, and went into more of the construction industry and started for a company doing loft conversions. I would do the structural aspect of job such fitting the steel beams floor joist the roofing and more. following from this i would then do second fix which involve architrave skirting, boards, laminate flooring hanging the doors and doing hand rail and spindles. we would delivery to site on the day we would help off load the delivery and get straight to work.

i would great customers upon them entering and making them comfortable. i would then Consult with clients to assess personal style preferences and unique needs. i also used scissors, trimmers, razors and brushes to achieve perfect hair finishes. A key role of the job was to monitored the calendar of appointments and employee shifts to streamline process. I had to make sure i kept detailed records of customer information and services provided to facilitate repeat business. finally at the end of the day i cleaned and maintained salon, cut and wash stations and waiting area to maintain quality standards.
