I am a qualified Registered Nurse for one year now, currently working on a busy Cardiology ward, whereNiNitroglycerin (re to patients with a range of complex needs. This experience has given me a strong clinical foundation and the confidence to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care under pressure. It has also strengthened my commitment to delivering holistic, person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect, and positive health outcomes.
In my current role, I administer different Intravenous medications (IV) like antibiotics, Furosemide, Nitroglycerin(GTN infusion), and others.
Also, I work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and senior nurses to deliver holistic, evidence-based care. I actively contribute to patient reviews and multidisciplinary handovers, ensuring that care plans remain dynamic and responsive to patients’ changing needs. I am also familiar with community discharge planning and understand the importance of continuity of care, particularly for patients with long-term health conditions like diabetes coupled with cardiac issues.
Before qualifying, I worked as a Healthcare Assistant for four years which gave me a solid foundation in direct patient care, communication, and teamwork. This experience has enhanced my ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care, while working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. I am now eager to further develop my skills and contribute as a dedicated nurse in a dynamic healthcare setting.
