Projects

2022-2023 graduate collection, ‘Μέδουσα', Designer, Technical Drawings; Middlesex University London:

  • This collection juxtapose the concepts of 'angel' and 'devil, explores the themes of Eve & Adam and how women tend to be portrayed as evil, incorporating white as a symbol of purity and kindness to contrast. The designs aim to empower women to take on the world with confidence. The devil lies in the details of the designs represented by a slightly different colour thread used to embryoid protest phrases.

2022 Mimmi London brand project, ‘Trapped in’, designed to fit the brands project, Technical Drawings; Middlesex University London:

  • This collection is a collaboration with Mimmi London, inspired by the brand's strategy towards environment sustainability. Using my home town of Portugal for inspiration, I repurposed wasted fishing nets, giving them a second life and enhancing their aesthetic appeal through the creation of fashion design.

2021 Tailored project, ‘Skirt vs Men’, Designer; Middlesex University London:

  • TThis collection theme was designed around revolutionary moments throughout history with tailor wear. I came up with the idea of depicting how gender and sexuality is still a controversial topic. I was inspired by men wearing skirts, being seen as less masculine than others, but in previous times, the Romans, Vikings, and Scots used to wear them into wars and battlefields. The collection is a mock of who thinks that skirts aren't masculine, making them all sorts of lengths and sizes.

Within these projects, I was responsible for:

  • Research of brand aesthetic & values.
  • Designed a collection of 60+ menswear and womenswear designs through research boards and using ProCreate and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Created detailed technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Created designs into tangible products.
  • Produced Visuals for art direction (makeup/styling)
  • Showing results in a range of editorial photography images.
