Summary

From being a child into my late teens I was a passionate theatre student. I loved being able to make an audience smile and my teachers proud. Those days are behind me now, but something I never lost was my confidence and the ability to push myself. I found, that unintentionally, these key skills have followed me into my professional life, making some things come as second nature, such as communication and maintaining a positive mindset.

I have many years experience in mastering customer service skills, I would love to apply this in a job I am passionate about.

I have a lot of transferable skills that will go hand-in-hand with working in most companies.

I am motivated to learn, grow and take on something new.

  • Adjusted quickly to a completely knew environment where I had no predecessors to guide me in the role.
  • Took charge in the organisation of the set up of shelving, work counters, PC set ups and using my imagination to create a floor plan for the locations of: delivery’s, added stock, new stock, to be added stock etc
  • In a days work I am responsible for picking and packing ready for dispatch between 100-300+ orders a day ( depending on the time of year ) - when I know there is to much for me to do efficiently on my own I can arrange help from my colleagues- using the management skills I have developed from working in a team.
  • I also accept delivers daily sometimes multiple- this is followed by booking the delivery in on our system and paying attention to how effective the boxes are stored on the shelf, making decisions on the spot and making necessary changes to benefit the organisation.
  • I communicate daily with customers on multiple platforms, such as Amazon, eBay, our website, taking phone calls and the physical customers over the counter we see in our shop.
  • I have come to enjoy the customer service side of my job as I find it rewarding and fulfilling when I help them reach an ideal outcome.
  • I take on the responsibility voluntarily for keeping the warehouse clean and organised - I do this by changing the bins every other day, hoovering weekly, keeping the fridge and tea/coffee/ sugar filled up and also making sure there surfaces stay clean and practical.
  • I have been heavily involved in training and guiding new employees to fit into the company by having them shadow me and I then take the time to work closely with them giving my full attention. This has helped to grow the business into what it is today.

  • Being able to work entirely independently on a quieter day of the week - meaning I developed good management skills and how to prioritise tasks, for example - Taking orders and serving customers with immaculate customer service, at the same time as keeping on top of the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning rota and preparing food ( baking and cooking in preparation for the following days menu) all in a days work on my own.
  • I was responsible for shutting down and cleaning all the kitchen appliances and then locking doors and shutting windows before leaving at the end of the shift.
