Im 19 year old uni student looking for a job throughout the summer and going forward something that will also work alongside college hours. Im able to work daytime, evenings and weekends. As I have experience working in a team and individually, as being a coach I can work comfortably in stressful and busy environments as well as meeting new people and being ongoing.
As a coach I have many responsibilities which include planning and leading classes, assessing students and talking to parents/carers. Being a coach requires patience, energy and enthusiasm to keep the focus/interest of each child and making sure each child knows what they are doing as keeping there wellbeing is the first importance in a combat sport. The role of a coach is to bring enthusiasm and have a fun attitude as well as bring educational value to karate but as well as life lessons at the same time as you are not just a coach but a role model that they look up to which is a responsibility to uphold too. Since becoming a coach I have had numerous requests for one to one private sessions with some students which I have delivered in making unique lessons focusing on there weakness using various sporting equipment like sporting ladder, pads and kick shields to help them improve as a fighter. I am quite active on our facebook group in proving posts on the students progression and success like being accepted in a our fight competition team.
I am working as the main head coach at the secondary Academy at Wilmslow, know as Cheshire martial arts in which I work on Mondays and Wednesday from 5-9pm.
I worked at The Stannylands hotel in which my jobs included being at front of house, serving and kitchen. I did multiple tasks, associated with bar and hotel work, morning shifts as well as working on function nights. My time working was a new experience as it was something different, which I enjoyed especially the social aspect of it the most by interacting with customers. Majority of shifts I worked was weekend evenings cleaning the bar area and setting up the bar for the next day for the morning staff. I also did do early morning shifts on weekdays
I have had experience of working in a cafe during the school summer holidays this involved front of house, taking orders and cleaning. It gave me the first experience of working in a team and individually which helped me to develop my customer service skills. at times it meant working under pressure during busy hours of the day while staying welcoming and friendly to the customers.
I have high attendance record and good time keeping skills
