Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Authored and reviewed geotechnical reports and specifications for complex geotechnical engineering projects.

• Reviewed and developed risk assessment methodologies for geotechnical hazards affecting critical water/sludge pipeline infrastructure.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Led and executed delivery of site selections, desk studies, GI's, pile load testing and interpretative reporting for five solar farms. The clients satisfaction with the work and advice provided resulted in an increased project scope from an initial NZD $50k to NZD $0.5M.
• Design Lead for delivery of the first solar farm design. Client facing, managing geotechnical design in multidisciplinary design team.
• TGE team renewable energy point of contact, consulting on solar and wind farm projects and delegating work packages for external and internal renewable energy clients.

Key Skills:

• Wide range of data collection skills including large-scale geomorphological and engineering geological mapping, soil and rock logging, scanline mapping and pile load testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, highly proficient at end to end delivery of pre-construction phase engineering, reporting, ground modelling and design, with minimal supervision.
• Leadership in delivery, design management and HSE. Led the field team for the NWTD project in the Principal Contractor role, had a large impact on project safety and staff wellbeing.

Project Summary:

A new NZD $300M motorway constructed over soft peat deposits to better connect the north of the city.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Full time, on-site construction monitoring. Inspecting and verifying geotechnical and civil construction against design.
• Monitored driven and bored pile installation, undercuts and earthworks, embankment formation, EPS embankment and bridge abutment construction.
• Managed settlement monitoring and instrumentation programme and delivery. Key liaison to client, contractor, designer and peer reviewer and chaired design and progress meetings with all parties.

• Competent and confident on site, able to problem solve under pressure and make informed decisions to progress construction while ensuring design requirements are met.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervised construction of rockfall remediation designs including rockfall bunds and catch bench and undertook rock scaling abseil inspections to reduce rockfall risk.
• Led the delivery of options analyses and concept designs and supervised construction of 26 retaining wall rebuilds.
• Spearheaded design and delivery of numerous small to medium scale GI's and detailed design for the CWV project.

Key Skills:

• Learned GI design, programming, budgeting, logging and reporting.
• Completed earthquake damage assessments to property and infrastructure in Christchurch and Kaikoura.
• Developed key skills in interpretative reporting, specification and design reporting and developing design drawings.
• Design analyses including slope stability, liquefaction, lateral spread, seismicity, bearing capacity and pile capacity.

• Field technician while at university. Undertook GI's, soil and rock logging, soil sampling for lab testing. Built a foundation in understanding the nature and characteristics of soil and rock.

• Rehabilitative carer for a man with locked in syndrome. Learned critical communication skills, ability to work under pressure, compassion and empathy.
