I am a dedicated and hard-working Law gradate from the University of York who specialised in property and corporate law . As a result of York Law schools extremely practical approach to teaching, I have taken part many useful activities consistent with the work of solicitors. These activities include: contract interpretation and drafting, negotiations, drafting client letters and offering legal advice. This experience has provided me with valuable communication skills. Specifically, it has taught me how to handle tense situations and offer comprehensive advice in a way that easily understandable to all clientele. Furthermore, I have worked a variety of jobs both before and throughout my studies at York such as, retail, hospitality, as well as construction. These challenging but enriching experiences have shaped me into committed team player who enjoys working collaboratively to successfully complete tasks and meet difficult deadlines. Overall, I have a strong affinity for the commercial side of law. It is this inclination that equips me with a strong sense of commercial awareness as well as furthering my communication skills with customers and clientele. I also have extensive experiences in the field of residential conveyancing. I worked as a conveyancing legal assistant for Wilsons Solicitors in West Yorkshire for over a year. Within my tenure at this firm, I have faced many challenges which have allowed me to upskill considerably since my graduation. Namely, it has taught me how to work efficiently under very high pressure situations and resolve tense interactions efficiently and professionally. I had also undertaken an internal training course to handle sale files independently. I am now extremely keen to progress my legal career even further and continue to grow in this field with the ultimate goal of qualifying as a solicitor.
