During my time so far at University I have completed various tasks and assignments that closely relate to the nature of the position for which I am applying for. Some examples of these would be that in December I, along with a group of my classmates completed a joint project. In which the aim was to develop and solve a climate change model governed by differential equations. This allowed us to apply what we had been learning about in lectures to a real world situation, which I found to be very insightful. Another notable example is the time i spent in the laboratory, recreating various Nobel Prize winning experiments. One of my favourites being the Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy experiment. Where I was able to investigate the work function of gold and graphite during Quantum tunnelling and give a presentation on my findings.
As a part of the Asda team I have held 3 different roles, all of which requiring varying responsibilities and skill sets. I have worked as a fresh, bakery and a home shopping colleague. All of which have been very positive experiences for me. I have honed valuable skills such as time keeping, teamwork, communication, customer service and organisational skills. My favourite part of working in Asda is the people I work with. I have made some fantastic friends, some of which I would have never met if it wasn't for working in Asda. Throughout my time in Asda I have felt a great sense of responsibility, notably so in my current position in which I fulfil numerous customer's orders. Most of all I have enjoyed being a part of a hardworking team.
