I am a fully coded MIG and MMA welder with additional experience in TIG welding. With over 8 years of site-based experience in the recycling and scrap metal industries, I’ve carried out extensive repairs and fabrication work on equipment such as loading shovels, walking floors, netting systems, and various trailer and wagon components (including hook systems and light guards).

My experience includes:

• Repairing RoRo bins and recycling vehicles.
• Fabricating recycling bays and equipment for major companies like Veolia and Smurfit Kappa.
• Building conveyors and picking stations for the scrap metal recycling sector.
• Workshop fabrication of handrails, gates, and steel structures for both small and large building projects.

I am highly skilled in using workshop machinery including press brakes, guillotines, GEKA iron-workers, band saws, chop saws, bench drills, mag drills, and plasma cutters. I am also very experienced with oxygen and propane cutting equipment.

Additionally, I have strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and hold the following certifications:

• Forklift truck licence
• IPAF card (scissor lifts and cherry pickers)
• Full UK driving licence

I have 5 years of hands-on experience in groundworks, during which I developed a broad skill set across various areas of construction. My responsibilities included:

• Block paving and general paving work
• Operating forklifts and assisting with material handling
• Tarmacking and surface preparation
• Supporting site teams with drainage, kerbing, and basic concreting tasks

This experience gave me a strong understanding of site safety, efficient teamwork, and the practical skills needed to support larger construction projects from the ground up.
