As an Executive Officer I have worked in two diffrent roles.
BAPI is an American company who were moving into the UK market for the first time in this role I set up the UK stores and Inventory system as well as providing technical support on a wide range of sensors used mostly in the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning market. On a day to day basis I would answer customers questions on all aspects of the business, process orders including packing and shaping, liaise with the US factory to arrange productions schedules and provide technical support to UK customers.
I this role I provided technical support, product selection and quotation for a wide range of commercial ventilation equipment, On a day to day basis I would prepare technical submission and quotes based on issued technical drawings and liaise with the companies manufacturing plant to confirm delivery windows. On occasion on-site visits to provide technical support and written reports in support of the sales team would also be required.
In this role I provided technical support on a wide range of products used in the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning sector. Daily activities included answering customer technical enquiries using telephone and E-mail, producing product selection schedules, managing the companies returned materials procedure and proof reading of technical documents translated form Swiss German to English language. At times on site customer support nd training was also part of my remit the production of demonstration equipment.
BSRIA is the Building Services Research and Information Association, In this role I worked in the calibration department covering a wide range of work including managing the design and production of new calibration equipment and the writing of the procedures for use. I also was responsible for the reference calibration of a open wind tunnel using a Laser Doppler Anemometer. I also performed the onsite fitting of data logging equipment used to study the energy efficiency of new build housing.
I started at Belimo in 2005 and worked my way up from being a Technical Support Engineer to Sales support Manager for the UK, in these roles I worked on multiple product launches, industry steering committees and design working groups within the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry. in this time I had to start from scratch using Microsoft office and learn a whole new skill set of providing customer support via telephone and E-mail, I like to think that my progression in this company demonstrates my flexibility and ability to learn new skills quickly and effectively.
