Summary

I have an extensive experience on several prestigious projects over the 12 years I have been a Fire Engineer. See following pages for project stories.

Furthermore, throughout my professional career, I have continued to take particular interest in training and development of engineers. In particular, the development of the CFD technical research and development group at Hoare Lea. Most recently the CFD network group within the wider organisation of Tetra Tech which encompasses CFD groups within the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and USA.

There is an adage used in some aspects of the industry that asserts that “we've always done it this way”. However, I believe in continual progression and a persistence to strive forward to develop new ideas and question current processes as a critial mindset to progress an industry.

The purpose of the CFD Technical Group was to develop a structured approach and implement systems to ensure there was efficiency in place from sourcing data, reviewing processes, training engineers, report writing, producing simulations and internal research.
